A day in your life session is so unique each and every time because your children keep growing too fast, you change houses, a new puppy or simply a new chapter in life. The galleries above are examples of what comes out of this type of a session.
This is my most popular session and also what I favor. I spend the day with you until your story is complete! Might sound strange or even intimidating to bring someone around all day. Then you're thinking you have to clean your whole house and then what if your little one just woke up on the wrong side of the bed? And you ponder if a short and quick hour family session is just better for your family... So lets dive a bit deeper into the day, to better understand just how awesome these Day in Your Life Sessions are.
I come over in the morning and play with your toddlers so they learn I'm their friend to hangout with for the day, not a stranger following them around with big black equipment in front of my face. The moment we're friends, it's game on.
You can cook breakfast together, shave with dad in front of the mirror, reading time, backyard dirt pie baking, nap time, bubble bath awesomeness? You name it, it's special and worth making an album of each year.
There is no time limit, nor location restrictions. This session makes a pretty awesome gift for grandparents. An album of getting away with murder at grandmas? THE BEST.
This is also the session that is required for anyone who has at least one child under the age of 4. I have this rule, because it's been so successful and eye opening to all my parents! I shoot documentary style photographs. Meaning, I will not be the photographer that forces your children to sit still for an hour jingling keys and bringing out ice cream bribes for a smile and looking at the camera. Each child has their own God designed, gloriously fun, personality! Especially under 4. And it's just not possible to truly capture them in all their awesomeness in a one hour family session. Just wait and see!
JUST YOU;
So you found your love!
You pulled them in and didn't let go.
When did you last take photographs to document your beautiful life you're creating together? Your wedding? You deserve some new ones to treasure! And if you think you don't NEED them.. Your poor Momma 5 states away thinks she does! :)
Whatever chapter in life you're in where it's just you and your love, this package is for you.
Simply need new photos together because it's been too long? Your engaged? Or an anniversary coming up? CONGRATS
I love taking these moments and being really creative. Even if you say you aren't, after 30 minutes into your session, you're comfortable and the creative juices certainly start flowing and we're making some beautiful photographs of you to hold on to or pass along.
These sessions tend to last anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. I don't set time limits, but I do have 2 packages. 1 location or 2! Puppies, hikes, water or cafes.. You name it, and we can come up with the perfect session for you two!
GENERATIONS TOGETHER;
Tell me that's not a photo you would print and pass down?!
I can't say enough, how important and darn BEAUTIFUL it is to get multiple generations in a photograph together. I know grandparents tend to protest. It's even one tough job to get them out of their posed smile. But when they do, I guarantee it will be one photo putting happy tears in your eyes!
Due to respecting the privacy that many grandparents ask for, I don't have a large gallery to share with you unfortunately. But, it's a popular session that's cherished forever. Don't forget that these moments are also a big addition to your families story :) And personally, a favorite of mine!
What more can we say, than.. THEY DID IT! The high school roller coaster to the finish line is not the easiest task. For it not being the easiest task, who they become through those 4 years, changes SO quickly in just one year of their next chapter after graduation. SO much so, that taking a moment to get amazing pictures of what a day in their life looks like now, is so important!
